Nickel Plating
Electrolytically deposited nickel coatings are notable for their silver, slightly yellowish, high-gloss surfaces. With relatively high hardness, wear resistance, and chemical resistance to acids and alkalis, this process offers a more cost-effective alternative to chemically deposited nickel.
Due to its unique properties, electroplated nickel is well-suited as a coating metal for many applications. It is also commonly used as a traditional diffusion barrier for other metals, such as copper.
